Chardonnay 'Odem' Golan Heights Yarden 2013

Odem wine is an organic chardonnay, produced in Israel by Yarden winery, with grapes grown in the Golan Heights. This is a mountainous region located on the Israeli border with Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. This land has ideal characteristics for the cultivation of the vine, with its basaltic soils of volcanic origin, topography with gentle slopes and the altitude of the vineyards (1200 m) which guarantees a cool mitigated climate, compared to the torrid areas surrounding desert. Odem is the name of the city that stands on the mountain of the same name, which in turn is surrounded by a beautiful forest that also takes the name Odem, a word that means "ruby" as the color of the rock of the ancient volcano. Odem Chardonnay is an elegant wine that seduces us easily, as well as the landscapes on which they grow the grapes. Once again Israel confirms that it is a producer of world-famous wines and the winery Yarden stands out in this scene as the ruby color of the slopes of Mount Odem.
